Adobe Animate CC نام جدید نرم افزار Adobe Flash Professional است که نزدیک به دو دهه، به عنوان ابزاری استاندارد برای تولید انیمیشن‌های غنی تحت وب مورد استفاده قرار می‌گرفت. در طول این سال‌ها نسخه‌های جدیدی برای این نرم افزار منتشر شد که با توجه به تغییرات و بهبودهای دنیای وب، ابزارهایشان نسبت به نسخه‌های قبلی بهبود و توسعه می‌یافت. برای بهتر نشان دادن موقعیت این نرم افزار به عنوان ابزار پیشرو در حوزه‌ی انیمیشن سازی، از ابتدای سال 2016 نام Flash Professional به نام Adobe Animate تغییر کرده است.
نرم افزار قدرتمند و محبوب Adobe Animate CC ابزاری مناسب برای طراحان وب و گرافیست‌ها می‌باشد که شرکت ادوبی سعی نموده قابلیت‌های برنامه نوسی و کدنویسی و محیط کاری را اتقاء داده و در عین حال با اضافه نمودن ابزارهای متنوع طراحی سعی نموده نیازهای طراحان را نیز مرتفع سازد. از دیگر ویژگی‌های جدید می‌توان به یک موتور متن قدرتمند، پشتیبان دستگاه موبایل و تسهیل کارایی و افزایش ابزارهای برنامه نویسی اشاره نمود. همچنین اجزای هماهنگ و پیوسته و دارا بودن محیط کار طراحی گسترده که امکان ارائه‌ی محتوا را از طریق قالب‌های رسانه‌ای ایجاد می‌کند، از دیگر ویژگی‌های کلیدی آن می‌باشد.

Because of the emergence of HTML5 and demand for animations that leverage web standards, we completely rewrote the tool over the past few years to incorporate native HTML5 Canvas and WebGL support.
