ترجمه ی کلماتی که نمی شناسید به وسیله ی ریشه شناسی

با سلام به همه دوستان عزیز
یک سوال کاملا تکراری، چگونه لغات انگلیسی را در ذهن ماندگار کنم؟ برخی افراد سعی می‌کنند هر لغتی را که می‌بینند حفظ کنند حتی اگر این لغات چندان در مکالمات واقعی کاربرد نداشته باشند. از طرفی دیگر عده ایی هستند که نمی‌دانند از کجا باید شروع کنند و امیدوارند که لغات بدون تلاش در ذهنشان نقش ببندد. و بالاخره گروهی دیگر هستند که مستقیم سراغ دیکشنری می‌روند و هر نوبت یک حرف از کلمات دیکشنری را حفظ می‌کنند. می‌دانیم که یکی از عوامل مهم توانایی در مکالمه به یک زبان خارجی دارا بودن بانک واژگان قدرتمند است. متأسفانه بسیاری از زبان آموزان برای یادگیری و نگاه داشت لغات از روش مناسبی برخوردار نیستند.
می توان گفت همه چیز به روش یادگیری بستگی دارد، برای آنکه بتوانید به طور مؤثری لغات انگلیسی را فرابگیرید به دو چیز نیازمندید. اول نقشه یادگیری لغات، دوم روش‌های مؤثر حفظ واژگان. باید دانست که حفظ واژگان در قدم اول لزوما به معنی تسلط بر واژگان نیست. آنچه از فراموش شدن لغات جلوگیری می‌کند عبارت است از مرور و استفاده کلمات به تناوب در موقعیت‌های مختلف.

بسیاری از لغات موجود در زبان انگلیسی، همانند سایر زبانها، قابل تجزیه به اجزای ریزتری هستند. شناخت این ساختار کمک زیادی در یادگیری معنای لغت، بخاطر سپاری و همچنین حدس معانی لغات ناآشنا می نماید.
یک لغت از سه بخش پیشوند ( Prefix), ریشه (Stem or root) و پسوند (Suffix) تشکیل میشود. در واقع بسیاری از این پیشوند، ریشه و پسوندها به زبان لاتین و یونانی باز میگردند و تعداد دیگری نیز از زبان اسپانیایی، فرانسوی و ایتالیایی وارد زبان انگلیسی شده اند.
طبق مطالعه ای صورت گرفته توسط زبانشناسان، مجموعه ای از ۲۰ پیشوند و ۱۴ ریشه و چگونگی بکارگیری آنها، بیش از ۱۰۰۰۰ ( ده هزار) معنی لغت را بر ما آشکار میکند! در حالت بدبینانه اگر بگوییم این آمار فقط تا حد ۵۰ درصد صحیح هست باز هم نمی توان اهمیت بسیار بالای یادگیری آنها را انکار نمود.
خیلی لـ*ـذت بخش خواهد بود یاد بگیریم مثلا لغت circumspect رو به این صورت معنی کنیم.
ریشهcircum به معنای around و ریشه spect هم seeمیشه، لذا در کل همه طرف را دیدن: کسی که هم طرف را میپاید و در نهایت با احتیاط.

بنده در این تاپیک قصد دارم تجربه خودم بر اساس همین ریشه ها، رو به اشتراک بگذارم. اول در مورد ریشه ها صحبت میکنم. و برنامه به این صورت هست که بر اساس حروف الفبا ریشه و معنی آن رو توضیح میدهم و سپاس کلمات ساخته شده بر اساس آن به همراه ذکر مثال در قالب جمله بیان کنم. صد البته در این قسمت همکاری و مشارکت شما دوستان عزیز در مفید واقع شدن هدف کمک شایانی خواهد کرد.

قسمت اول: ریشه ها Root

ریشه‌هایی که با C شروع می‌شوند:

cap,cip,capt,cept, ceive

ریشه های فوق دارای معانی:
گرفتن، نگه داشتن، محبوس کردن، فهمیدن و درک کردن

پ.ن ۱: در بعضی از کلمات علاوه بر ریشه، ممکن است دارای پسوند یا پیشوند هم باشد. با توجه به اینکه هدف فعلی ریشه می باشد لذا با یادگیری پسوند و ریشه در آینده قطعا تسلط بهتر بر لغات ایجاد خواهد شد.
پ.ن ۲: شاید این سوال پیش بیاید که آیا هر کلمه ای مثلا دارای am, ag حتما قابل تحلیل به ریشه am یا ag هست. به طور قطع خیر. به قولی هر گردی گردو نیست. اما با یادگیری پیشوند و پسوند علاوه بر ریشه ها می توان به تسلط بهتر در این زمینه دست یافت.
